Inner tube 16x2.50 valve 45x70°

Size

16x2.50 inner tube. This size is found on electric unicycles, electric balance bikes and children's bikes. The rubber adapts to a range of widths around 2.50 inches.

Beware of the two meanings of 16 inch

The 16 inch designation covers two rim diameters: 305 mm and 349 mm. The 305 mm is used on electric unicycles, balance bikes and BMX; the 349 mm on folding bikes such as Brompton. The two are not interchangeable.

Check the inner diameter of the original tube before ordering — the outer size alone is not enough.

45x70° valve

The valve is angled at 45 degrees on its first segment and 70 degrees on the second. This angle is dictated by the rim and mudguard geometry: it gives access to the valve with an inflator head where a straight valve would be unreachable.

A 45x70° valve does not replace a straight valve, nor a 45x45°, nor a 0x90°. Check the angle of the original tube before ordering: this is the leading cause of error on this product family.

Fitting

Sold individually. Inflate the tube slightly before inserting it into the tyre to avoid folds, and make sure it is not pinched between the bead and the rim before bringing it up to pressure.
