Tire 80/65-6 (255x80) tubeless off-road reinforced

Size and equivalents

The 80/65-6 is also designated 10x3 or 255x80: outer diameter 255 mm, width 80 mm, 6 inch rim. All three notations refer to the same tyre.

Note that the 6 inch rim is not interchangeable with the 6.5 inch. This is the leading cause of error on this size: the 10x2.75-6.5 and the 10x3.0-6 look similar in designation but do not fit the same wheel.

Reinforced casing

The structure carries additional plies compared with the standard version. It resists punctures, kerb impacts and pinching at low pressure better.

For off-road use this is the most coherent combination: the off road tread exposes the casing more, the reinforcement protects it.

Tubeless fitment

Fitted without an inner tube, on an airtight rim only. Replace the tubeless valve at the same time to guarantee the seal, and add sealant if the use requires it.

On a non-airtight rim, this tyre is fitted with an 80/65-6 inner tube.

Sold individually, fits front or rear.

Off road tread

Knobbly tread for tracks, broken surfaces and off-road riding. The 80 mm width provides contact area and stability on loose ground.

On tarmac this tread is noisier and wears faster than a road tyre. For mainly urban use, see the PN-140 in reinforced tubeless or the PN-06 in tubetype.

The seven versions of this size

Wattiz stocks the 80/65-6 in seven versions. The size is identical, only the fitment, tread and construction change.

Tubetype and tubeless are not freely interchangeable: switching to tubeless requires an airtight rim, going back to tubetype requires adding an inner tube.
